3/24/11 I don't know the last time I have been THIS lazy about my blog. I don't have any excuse; I've just been lazy. Well, I'm also dealing with a wicked cough. I've had it for a few months now. I'm going to a 3rd doctor on Monday. It sucks. I am literally waking up in the middle of the night with it...plus, I can't breathe sometimes. I'm worried that my asthma has come back. When I say "come back", I'm talking about "coming back from when I was a baby." No shit. That's scary that something that affected me as a baby can come back 30+ years later. Shit, does that mean I'm going to wake up one day and realize I'm sucking my thumb and pissing the bed? I sure hope not. I've been doing some spots lately that have gone really well. Actually, here's a few new videos I've posted:
__
Wow, a lot of fucking videos, huh? Geez...I just took a little break, and it's now 2 hours later...I'm going to bed. Laziness strikes again.
3/16/11 Truth be told my bloggers...yes and no. Yes I've been busy, but it's not exciting busy; just busy. Allison and I just finished a whirlwind of traveling and entertaining. It started at the end of February when we both did the SLO Comedy Festival...well, actually Allison and Skippy did the fest...I was just there for support. ;) The fest was a blast and we got to hang out with a bunch of our comedian friends. Skippy actually made it to the Top 6/Best of the Fest. Not bad, eh? Actually there was this kid there who, after Skippy did a show, came up and said, "Can I get a picture with you? You should've won Last Comic Standing." That was really cool, check it out:
It was really a cool feeling; that this kid actually remembered Skippy from just one minute of airtime. After that Allison and I went up the San Francisco area to do a show in Mill Valley. As always, it was great; much love to the wonderful crowds up there. And to tell you the truth, it felt good to kinda redeem myself. The last time I was there, I felt I did a less than stellar show. I really wanted to do well this time, and I really felt like I did. ...However... After that, we went up to the Sacramento area to do another show. It was a casino...and I did NOT do very well. Allison killed. I mean, just killed it. I couldn't follow her that night. And I felt so proud of her for making it hard for me. She's becoming so good at this thing we call comedy. It was so awkward though that during my show, some guy yelled out "Get the guitar girl back up there!" In all fairness, that guy was an asshole. ...Not that Allison can only appeal to assholes - nevermind. So after that we drove 8 hours back home and had a day to rest before the influx of out of town guests started arriving. Allison's friends came for a weekend which was nice. Then just as they left, my friend from Florida came into town for her birthday. Again, it was fun, but we were just tired. And just as she left, my family came into town. THAT was amazing! I can't tell you how much it meant to have them here. I visit Florida at least two times a year and spend some quality time there, but my family has only been out to LA twice...and that was more than 8 years ago. So to have my mom, dad, brother and my beautiful niece; just unreal. Check this out: I tweeted that picture along with: "Having my niece napping in my car is the best thing to happen in my backseat for a loooong time." She's just the light of my life. I can't express it. Well, I guess I just did. So...this morning I dropped them off at the airport and now Allison and I are taking a breath...before we start preparing for our wedding. Wow, I can't believe that is really happening. Fuck. I'm not scared, I'm flabberghasted. I'm just sitting here in a fog of unbelieveablity that I'm actually getting married. Geesh. Geesh??? What the hell am I, a 1950's television father. OH...speaking of television, check out these clips of Skippy on Latino 101: __ Ain't he a stinker? Soooo now I'm getting ready for a show in San Clemente, so I'm gonna get going. I'll be back soon; do not fret...but in case I do slack a little, please know it's probably because Jesus Christ is visiting.
