Whew, what a tour I just had. I just got back (with Allison and our cousin Ivri) from doing a couple of shows around Florida. Not comedy clubs, but a "redneck" bar in St. Cloud and a coffee house/bar in Punta Gorda...which means "fat point", though it's one letter off from meaning "fat pussy".

And walking into these places one might think, "fuck, this is going to be rough"...and by "one", I mean me. And I was dead wrong. These shows were so much fun; much love to those who came out.

It was also fun because Allison is still so new in the business that she hasn't played a lot of these rooms, but these are the rooms that I cut my teeth in. So in my head I was like, "OK, you know how to play these rooms, etc...", but I wasn't sure if Allison was going to be able to. And, again, I was wrong. She nailed it.

Honestly, I wasn't worried about her in Punta Gorda, but St. Cloud I was kind of worried. But in the end, she killed it.

And my cousin had never seen this side of the comedy world; she only sees me at shows, but not the preparation and the traveling aspect, so it was really cool to have some family with us.

So now we're just relaxing until we go back to LA in a few days. I am ready for that. It's funny how much I start to miss LA when I'm gone; even when I'm visiting family.

OH, also, big love to the Palm Beach Improv for having Skippy headline on Wednesday. I taped it with three different cameras, so I might have a new video to sell! It was really a fantastic audience that night. I thought that Skippy wouldn't work with the audience, and...as usual...I was wrong about them.

Thanks Palm Beach!

I'm so excited about Skippy. When I was hanging with some comics in Punta Gorda, some of them already knew about Skippy. "His" reputation is starting to precede him. How insane!?

This character that was just a little thought in my head, that came out of nowhere is now a real thing. It's something that was only funny to me a few friends, and is now being loved by a lot more people...and this is just the beginning. I can feel it.

I've said that before about Skippy (and other things in my career), and sometimes it happens quickly, and sometimes it takes awhile. Skippy has been making strides for awhile and I'm feeling that his time is quickly approaching!

Neato!

...did I just type "neato"?

Let me check....

Yup. Yup I did.

Sorry 'bout that; I kinda left that last blog open-ended. I guess I got distracted.

Well, the whole point was that Allison and I have been married for a year now, and my parents took us (along with her mom, my brother & niece) to Key West for, what Allison called, our "Fam-a-versary". It was amazing...especially since I got to spend a lot of time with my niece. Oh my god, she is amazing.

Whenever any parent/grandparent/aunt/uncle/etc. says that their child is amazing, I thought that was sweet but never really understood it, now I do. I had so much fun hanging out with her; who knew that I could relate so much with a 3 year old...well, only those who know me really well wouldn't be shocked by that admission.

Anyway, I'm about to go meet my brother for some sibling time (translation: beer).

Oh, and please check out the latest episode of What's For Dinner...Clownvis Presley stops by.

I think at this point apologies for lack of blogging is pretty much assummed. Yes? Good.

I am now in south Florida chilling with my family and friends and celebrating two big events. First of all it was the bar mitzvah of my cousin, Hogan. He knocked it out and then had a killer celebration. And the other big event is the one year anniversary of my marriage to Allison. One fucking year together as a married couple.

B-fucking-zare.

And it's official now because we've changed our status on Facebook. Isn't that amazing? We can tell all of our friends in person, but it's not "official" until our status was changed. Insane.

So tomorrow my parents are taking us, her mom, my brother and Lily to Key West as an anniversary/family get away. I know, most people would LOVE to spend their first anniversary with their parents & in-laws. Well, it's a really nice gift and we will enjoy it...but we'll also celebrate on our own.

You always hear about people getting a better understanding of themselves as they get older and damn if it isn't true. Priorities and interests suddenly start changing their values in your life. I've always had "career" as the #1/#2 priority in my life...now, well it's still near the top, but it's a little further down the list.

I guess I can also post some pics from the wedding now...oh yeah, it was at the LA Improv.

With our parents

First Kiss
