Afternoon all, I am just doing a whole bunch of nothing in my apartment; laundry and whatnot...the whatnot is really tiresome.

So last night was the wrap party for the movie, and it was so much fun. It was weird though seeing all of these people but not on a set. And to get drunk with them...well, that was just a treat. And then I did a spot on the show, and everyone involved with the film got to see me. To tell you the truth I was really nervous, not only because they were watching me, but because I hadn't been on stage in almost a month.

But when it was all said and done, it was a great fucking show. Of course some of the audience was bias, but those not involved with the film loved it too. Then, when I said 'good night', most of the film folks stood up. To tell you the truth, it was a bit embarrassing. I felt like I was at an open mike night when my family used to come to watch me. Don't get me wrong, getting a standing-O is great, but when it's from a group of people who know you, and that's it...it feels weird.

But I am grateful.

So today, like I said, Allison and I are just hanging around. Skippy is doing The Talking Shit podcast with Jim Jeffries & Eddie Ifft later tonight. I'm excited to do that. Eddie is a friend of mine and he wants me to come in full character and not break at all. He wants Skippy to be his own guest; not one mention that it's a character in any way. This is going to be great. Plus I'm a huge fan of Jim's, so it's an extra bonus. ;)

I have to get myself back in the groove of stand up. El Paso this week should be a blast, then Tahoe a couple of weeks later. I'm trying to book something in Florida for July, but as of yet; nothing.

It's amazing, no matter how much I do, no matter how many credits I may get...hell, I just shot a movie, and still I can't get myself into these clubs on a phone call. I don't have an agent to book me, so it's so stressful. If someone could come along and help me out, I don't mind giving a commission. If there are any booking agents out there who want to handle my club dates, shoot me an flip@flipschultz.com. We'll talk.

So what else to say? I dunno...

I think maybe I'll do a podcast now. Even though I don't have anyone to interview...could just be a "me alone" kinda thing. Yeah, let me see if there's anything going on in the news that I want to talk about. Just something...so long as it's funny.

I really want to keep this podcast thing going, I just have to find the time and figure out exactly what it is I'm doing. I mean most comic podcasts are just that; comics talking to comics about comedy and whatnot (which, again, is tiresome). Just being funny off the cuff or on specific subjects. That seems to be what I'm doing. I love being off the cuff. But there needs to be something to springboard off of.

Or should I try to go with something more structured? I dunno.

See, these are the things that keep me up at night.

Yeah, maybe I'll do that now. Fuck it. If not now, this week definitely. Actually, the director of the film, Craig Moss, agreed to do my show soon, so that will be a lot of fun.

Alright, I'm gonna go and figure some shit out. I just thought of some things I want to talk about. Let's do this!

Later bitches!

Whew, what a blog gap...or a "blap", if you will. I've just been shooting all month so it's been tough to blog and do my podcast; so much apologies.

The great/sad news is that this is the last week of shooting. Great because it means that I actually filmed a real movie, but sad because it means that I'm done. I swear to Woody (Allen), this whole experience has been just like camp. And now camp is over...but I know that this is JUST the beginning of my film career. :)!!!

I can't wait to see this finished product. If it looks half as good as it felt making it, it's going to be amazing.

And I've made some great new friends, Kat Fiore, Olivia Alexander, Danny Woodburn, an amazing make up crew (Joy, Norma, Cherie & Brad); I mean pretty much everyone involved in this film.

I know that I'm going to keep in touch with a lot of them.

OH, and check out a few more pics from the shoot:

Not sure what to say; guess you'll just have to see the movie.

So next week it's back to doing stand up on the road. I'll be in El Paso at The Comic Strip. I'm excited because I've been wanting to play this club for a long time. It's going to be great to do stand up again. Been missing it.

Alrighty, I'm off to get ready for my second to last day of filming. :(

I promise once this is done I'm going to blog a little more "in depth" blogging.

Later kids, and, as always, thanks for the love and support.

Back in my apartment and don't it feel grand! Well yes, it does.

I hate driving sometimes. Traffic can suck. Thanks Woody Allen that we have some good music. I love Billy Joel so much; great music. Well, his early stuff anyway. Then again, who am I to say. He's just so fucking good.

So now, like I said, I'm back and just relaxing. I don't have to be on set until 1:30 tomorrow afternoon so I can sleep in. Although since I started filming and having to be on set early (like 7:30 am early), I've conditioned myself to be up early. So even now "sleeping in" means waking up at 8:30 or 9:00. Which to some is sleeping in, I suppose, but to me, it's still damn early.

Then again, I should just shut the fuck up...says those who are reading this who have to be up WAY the fuck early in the morning almost every day.

Well said good reader.

I can't wait to see what this film is going to look like. Oh, but here's a little sneak peek at some of the other folks involved:

That's me, director Craig Moss, amazingly funny actor Danny Woodburn and my co-star, the hilarious and brilliant actress, Kat Fiore.

This is going to be a really great film. I mean there are some raunchy, silly gags in it (as in any spoof film), but there are also some great, truly funny moments. And I get to act. Not just be silly, but actually act. So much fun and a refreshingly cool change of pace for me.

Well, I'm going to relax a bit and catch up on American Idol. Shhhh...don't tell me what happens.

I blame Allison for getting me so into this crap.

Whew, this has been on helluva week. First of all, I am shooting a movie!

"What did you just say Flip???"

I said I'm shooting a movie. And not just that, but I'm STARRING in the movie as well!!!!

"No shit!?"

No shit imaginary listener on this blog. It's a real feature film. And I'm the male lead. It's a-fucking-mazing! So far we've shot for one week...well 4 days since we had yesterday off.

Oh yeah, happy Passover to my fellow Hebro's and Shebrew's out there, and a happy Easter to you other folks. Remember, Jesus died so we can have a Friday off.

Allison and I are in San Diego right now performing at the Mad House Comedy Club. We had our first show last night and it was a lot of fun. I actually came up with a great joke on the spot. It's one of those moments where I'm still not sure if I really came up with it or just remembered it from someone else's act. I have to ask around before I keep it in the act fully.

That's what's great about just being in the moment with these shows. Although I was a bit rusty; it had been a long time since I did an hour, so I was a bit all over the place with some of my bits. But the crowd seemed to love it and Allison and I closed out the show with our little "Love Duet". Someone actually said that it was the most adorable thing they're going to see all year.

Awwww....

So now we're about to go get some brunch and see a bit of San Diego...which is Spanish for "a whale's vagina". (*source Ron Burgandy).

Then we drive home tomorrow and Monday, it's back to the movie set!!! I'm telling you, this is one of the most exciting things that I've ever done. I mean I've done film before, but never with a part THIS substantial....well, there was the monstrosity called "The Spacey Brothers" which I did back in 1997 and which I did have a lead role. But that was such a piece of shit that I can't consider it a film...although it was fun to make.

But I digress....

So this movie (which I can't really talk about) is a real, real, film. OK, I'm getting carried away here. I'm going to get some food. I is hungry.

Oh, did I not mention that I is talking like caveman now? Well, me is.
